We have been seeing an explosion in popularity among the social media sites. For instance, MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube each get more traffic than Google. Facebook adds more than a million viewers a week. Studies show people tend to pass on news about a product they like or dislike -- more than 95 percent of Baby Boomers share. And a study done by Third Age Inc reported that 73 percent of people aged 45 relayed their number one online activity was shopping. As the fad of social network marketing grows more into a lasting trend, it becomes more and more important for business owners to have and make use of their social presence online. |
